Neighborhood Overview
One of the most popular tourist destinations in the world, Miami Beach needs no introduction. Whether its shopping, restaurants, bars, clubs, or the beach that you desire, South Beach offers it all. Although the commute to campus can be harsh, many students feel that the benefit of living in one of the most "fun" neighborhoods in the world outweighs the cost. Distance from campus
Miami Beach is about 11 miles from campus, and is approximately 15-20 minutes away by car.
To get there from campus:
1. Take US1 north and stay left to merge onto I-95
2. Take exit 2D & merge onto I-395 E/Miami Beach
3. Continue onto A1A N and cross the bridge
The commute to campus can be a pain, especially when you encounter traffic. Students considering living in Miami Beach should attempt to schedule classes together so that they only have to commute to campus 2 or 3 days per week.
